Hello folks! So in this first ever Catholic Pickings post, I want to lay out my ideas and plans for this blog.
To start off, there will probably be a lot of Catholic stuff, and likely much about the liturgy, particularly the Mass, the liturgical reform, (or revolution, in a sense) and thoughts on how to restore our liturgical life in the Roman Rite. As for the rest of it, I'm just going to see as I go where things fall and figure my out my "style".
So it could be anything from liturgical ramblings, to sharing things about my spiritual life, to general thoughts (and hopefully beneficial instructions or recommendations) about our walk towards holiness, to reviews of books, missals, and other Catholic material. I might even throw in some music related things. After all, this is Catholic "Pickings". Another thing I'd do is post my videos onto the blog, so if any of you see this post once I share the blog on YouTube, if you don't see my videos in the subscriber feed, you'll see them here!
So that wraps it up for this first post, hopefully there will be plenty more to come!
